Core Features of Fully Automatic Dry Mortar Production Line
- Production capacity ranges from 20 to 100 tons per hour (customizable according to demand)
- Equipped with both bulk loading system and valve bag filling machine, meeting dual requirements of bulk transportation and bagged packaging
- Optional supporting equipment: dry mortar bulk truck, removable dry mortar silo

Dry Mix Plant Production Process
This unit is mainly designed for bulk mortar production, configured with two valve bag fillers. The whole production process is as follows:
- Raw Material Feeding: Purchase finished dry sand (dried + screened), lift to dry sand silo via NE type bucket elevator; transport different types of cement to corresponding silos by truck-mounted pneumatic conveying.
- Material Distribution: Dry sand is sent to corresponding silos through bucket elevator and two-position distributor; 3 cement silos are set on one side of the unit, and 2 finished mortar silos on the opposite side of dry sand silo.
- Precision Metering: Sand measuring hopper and powder measuring hopper are installed on the top platform of the unit for accurate dosing of dry sand and cement.
- Mixing Process: The mixer is installed on the second platform; materials are fully mixed and then transferred to buffer hopper and U-type screw conveyor on the next level.
- Finished Product Handling: Finished mortar is transported to finished material bucket elevator via U-type screw conveyor, then lifted to corresponding finished product silos.
- Loading & Packaging: Telescopic loading spouts under silo cylinder for bulk loading to haulage trucks (direct to construction site); two valve bag fillers next to finished product silo for bagged mortar packaging.
Mixer Model & Unit Output Correlation
| Mixer Model | Output (T/H) | Total Power | Number of Packaging Machines | Labor Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2m³ | 20-30 | 110kw | - | 2 general workers + 1 control system operator |
| 3m³ | 40-50 | 120kw | - | 2 general workers + 1 control system operator |
| 4m³ | 60-70 | 130kw | - | 2 general workers + 1 control system operator |
| 6m³ | 70-80 | 150kw | - | 2 general workers + 1 control system operator |
Key Design Elements
- Silo Design: Specialized silos for cement, heavy calcium powder, dry sand and mortar, with customized material and discharge height.
- Bucket Elevator: Adopt NE series plate chain elevator (not DTG series) for stable material lifting.
- Mixer Selection: Dual Axis Gravity Free Mixer or Plough Shear Mixer for uniform mixing.
- Buffer Hopper: Equipped with arch-breaking devices and material level sensors to prevent arching; material level signal triggers mixer unloading.
- Screw Conveyor: Special design for dry sand conveyor to improve wear resistance; installation inclination should not be too large.
- Dust Collector: Installed at each dust collection point (no centralized piping connection) for better dust removal effect.
- Telescopic Bulk Port: With dust cover and dust collector to avoid dust leakage.
- Valve Port Filling Machine: Air flotation type (instead of impeller type) for mortar packaging.
- Automatic Dosage System: PLC programming + weighing module, using famous brand electrical components, fully compliant with equipment logic.
- Mobile Silo: Equipped with load cell and wireless transmitter (connected to scheduling department); wet mixer installed at the bottom for on-site mortar mixing.
- Supporting Vehicles: Mortar trucks and silo backpack transfer trucks for flexible transportation.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) About Dry Mix Mortar & Production Lines
What is dry mix mortar?
Dry mix mortar is a pre-blended mixture of sand, cement, aggregates, and functional additives. Based on application scenarios, it is commonly categorized into three main types: colored powder coatings, adhesives, and materials dedicated to road/surface repair and reinforcement.
What is the difference between mortar and concrete?
Mortar: Primarily used in brick and stone masonry to bond construction components together. Its relatively soft composition enables it to fill gaps and adapt to shape/size variations in structures.
Concrete: A high-strength, durable material that hardens over time to form a stone-like texture. Thanks to its excellent strength and versatility, it is widely applied in load-bearing structural projects.
What is the production capacity of a ready-mix mortar plant?
Production capacity varies by equipment model, ranging from 8 to 50 tons per hour (TPH). For a single production line, the annual output can reach 80,000 to 300,000 tons. Our mortar plants support full customization to meet the continuous production needs of large-scale construction projects.
What are the main components of a gypsum mortar production line?
A complete gypsum mortar production line typically includes the following core components:
- Raw material storage system
- Efficient material conveying system
- Automatic dosing system (ensures precise ingredient proportioning)
- High-efficiency gravity-free mixing system (for uniform blending)
- Finished product storage silos (for ready-to-pack materials)
- Automated packaging system (for efficient bagging)
- Robotic palletizing system (streamlines logistics)
- Automatic control system (real-time process monitoring)
Where is gypsum mortar used?
Gypsum mortar production lines manufacture a variety of dry-mix building materials, such as gypsum-based adhesives, lightweight gypsum mortar, and wall putty. These materials are extensively used in interior wall finishing, tile installation, and general construction applications.
Can a dry mortar production line be customized to my specific needs?
Absolutely! We have delivered over 1,400 standard and customized dry mix mortar plants worldwide, with rich experience in tailoring solutions to your exact requirements—including production capacity, raw material compatibility, and automation level.
