Russia Granite Crushing Plant
HAMAC designed and supplied a stationary granite crushing and screening plant in Russia, using a combination of jaw crusher, cone crusher and vertical shaft impact crusher to produce high-quality aggregates for concrete and road construction.
The jaw crushers are widely used as primary crushers for coarse crushing of various stones; cone crushers are recommended for medium and fine crushing of hard and medium hard stones; and vertical shaft impact crushers are suitable for secondary or tertiary crushing and shaping of aggregates in mining and construction projects..
Project introduction and solution
The Russian customer operates a granite quarry and wanted a complete crushing plant to supply several sizes of aggregates to local concrete plants and infrastructure projects. Granite is a typical hard stone, so HAMAC proposed a three-stage solution: a primary jaw crusher for coarse crushing, a secondary cone crusher for medium and fine crushing, and a tertiary vertical shaft impact crusher as a shaping machine.
Main crushing equipment in Russia
The jaw crusher in the first stage provides a large feeding opening and strong crushing ability, which is ideal for primary crushing of granite. The cone crusher in the second stage offers high production efficiency and stable performance when processing hard and medium hard stones, ensuring that the crushed material has a suitable size before entering the final stage.In the third stage, a vertical shaft impact crusher is used to improve the cubic shape of the aggregates and to produce manufactured sand when needed. The vertical shaft impact crushers are widely used for secondary and tertiary crushing in mining, highway and construction fields, and they help obtain better particle shape and adjustable output sizes for concrete and asphalt aggregates.
With this configuration, raw granite is fed into the jaw crusher by a vibrating feeder, then transferred by belt conveyor to the cone crusher, and finally passes through the vertical shaft impact crusher and vibrating screens. Oversized material is returned for re-crushing, while qualified products are transported to different stockpiles for loading and delivery to end users.
Design highlights and services
One highlight of this design is the clear division of work between the main crushers. The jaw crusher focuses on handling large feed and provides a reliable foundation for the whole plant; the cone crusher takes responsibility for high-capacity medium and fine crushing; and the vertical shaft impact crusher refines the particle shape and controls the amount of fines, making the final aggregates more suitable for concrete and asphalt applications. Another highlight is the use of vibrating screens and belt conveyors to form a closed-circuit system, which is also emphasized in HAMAC's complete crushing plant solutions. The screens classify aggregates into different sizes and send oversize back to the crushers, while conveyors are arranged with reasonable heights and angles to reduce drop height, wear and dust generation.
HAMAC provided not only equipment, but also process design, equipment selection, manufacturing, delivery, installation guidance and commissioning for this Russian project. The service team helped the customer adjust crusher settings, optimize screen apertures and train operators, so that the granite crushing plant can run stably and deliver high-quality aggregates to the Russian market.
